I just finished reading your book.  I loved it.  It definitely had me smiling.  I could see it in a school reading textbook.  There are a lot of elements a teacher could use.

While she reads at a second-grade level, too many references went over her head and she gave up.  I then read thru page 18 to her and explained things as we went along. Later, as we were discussing what is happening tomorrow, she reminded me that we have to read more of Gus' Tails.

Cole, grandson (age 10, entering 5th grade) wasn't quite sure what I wanted in a book review, so I asked him questions.

He recommends this book for ages 9-12.

He said he "found the book entertaining and added that it was funny where you least expected it. " I asked him if you should do another book and he said he is "Looking forward to volume 2"

He came back later and wrote the following on his own.
